Description
AO VET Seed Grants are start-up grants offered by the AO Foundation through AO VET to support research addressing clinically relevant issues in veterinary medicine. The program supports a wide range of research fields, including unconventional and novel projects, and favors basic, preclinical, and clinical research. Its funded-project collection includes work on veterinary fracture fixation, joint replacement, bone development, tendon disease, and surgical planning.
The program’s primary aim is to provide individual support to young clinicians, increase awareness of research, and offer training in the fundamentals of research processes as part of research career development. It predominantly provides seed money and favors researchers early in their careers. The program has a global geographic scope.
