The APALA Travel Grant is administered by the Asian Pacific American Librarians Association to help one member attend the American Library Association Annual Conference and Exhibition. It provides financial assistance toward conference registration, giving members opportunities to network and pursue professional development at a national meeting. The program also encourages sustained APALA membership and organizational participation.
The program prioritizes applicants attending ALA Annual for the first time and/or those without additional funding for conference attendance. Students and employees working in libraries, archives, or other information organizations may apply, with or without an MLS or equivalent degree. Springer Nature sponsored the 2026 award. Recipients share their conference experience through a short report for the APALA website or newsletter.
