    Description

The Asia Pacific American Religions Research Initiative (APARRI) Working Group Grant supports collaborations across disciplines that advance scholarly and public knowledge of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) religions. Projects must engage AAPI religions in relation to democracy, pluralistic engagement, or both. The program emphasizes knowledge of groups underrepresented in the field and interdisciplinary, interethnic, and interreligious perspectives.

Working groups are expected to produce a tangible product, such as an edited volume, co-authored article, podcast series, public symposium, or comparable output. Funding supports the collaborative process through meetings, discussions, and related expenses. The grants also support APARRI’s commitment to building a robust intellectual community, with required conference attendance for awardees.
