Key Information: Applications require an ACGME-accredited training program whose Program Director is an active APCCMPD member.
Administered by APCCMPD jointly with CHEST and the American Thoracic Society, this award supports fellows-in-training, junior faculty, Associate Program Directors, and Program Directors conducting adult pulmonary and critical care graduate medical education research. Proposals may address any aspect of graduate medical education; suggested topics are illustrative, not exclusive.
Areas of interest include validating trainee competency assessments, novel training methods and outcomes, and measures connecting medical education to quality care. Projects may also examine how organizational change and education affect patient care, develop educational methods using novel technologies, or create tools that improve graduate medical education and training program processes. The program considers how projects complement and build on APCCMPD’s ongoing educational initiatives rather than overlap with them.
