The American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) Post-Doctoral Fellowships support research trainees pursuing new insights into the pathophysiology, etiology, and treatment of Parkinson’s disease. Projects may address questions anywhere along the research pipeline, from basic science to rehabilitation-focused work. The fellowships support trainees at U.S. research institutions and aim to bring promising new talent into Parkinson’s disease research.
The program is part of APDA’s commitment to discovering the causes of Parkinson’s disease and finding a cure. Since 1961, APDA has invested more than $68 million in research. Many APDA-funded researchers have used pilot data to secure multimillion-dollar National Institutes of Health grants.
