The Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) established its Medical Education Endowment Fund Grant Program in 2009 to stimulate research and innovation in health care education. Through a competitive process, the program supports members’ projects that use innovative approaches to improve obstetrics and gynecology health care education. Projects demonstrating a direct, measurable, and positive impact on medical student education—also called undergraduate medical education (UME)—are the most competitive.
The program also reflects APGO’s commitment to an inclusive and equitable future in ob-gyn and medical education. Where applicable, applicants are encouraged to consider how their projects and deliverables would support inclusion and equity among learners or faculty, in health care, or within the learning environment.
