Description
The Appliance Upgrade Program, administered by NYSERDA under the U.S. DOE’s Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) initiative, provides rebates to income-eligible New York households for the purchase and installation of ENERGY STAR certified heat pump clothes dryers (including all-in-one washer-dryers with heat pump technology) and necessary electrical wiring or panel upgrades. NYSERDA is actively enrolling retailers and contractors to build a statewide delivery network, offering point-of-sale rebates and installation services. The program may expand to include additional energy-efficient appliances in the future.
