The Focused Ultrasound Foundation (FUSF) funds research projects that advance the development and adoption of non-invasive, image-guided focused ultrasound (FUS) for disease treatment. Funding is available for both preclinical translational studies and innovative clinical trials, especially those aligned with the Foundation’s mission and research priorities (oncology, neurodegenerative disease, immunomodulation, neuromodulation, gene/cell therapy, drug delivery, sonodynamic therapy). Funding is milestone-driven, with a strong emphasis on rapid, patient-focused, proof-of-concept work. The application process is competitive and peer-reviewed, with a two-stage evaluation: Letter of Intent (LOI) and, if invited, a full proposal.
