Description
The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation supports community causes where Dominion Energy customers and employees live and work. Its four focus areas are basic human needs, community vitality, education, and environmental stewardship. Supported work includes education, the environment, culture and the arts, civic and community development, and health and human services. Priorities include food security, housing, healthcare access, workforce development in STEM and energy fields, cultural endeavors, and environmental conservation.
The foundation funds both programmatic requests and operational costs, offering flexibility to strengthen organizational capacity while advancing program development and implementation. Grants are awarded through two annual application cycles. Requests frequently exceed the foundation’s budget, and otherwise worthy proposals may be declined.
