Description
The APS Innovation Fund provides pilot or supplemental funding to support members of the American Physical Society (APS) in launching projects that address challenges within the physics community and further the APS mission. The anticipated 2026 cycle will focus on capacity building for education and careers in climate science, aiming to empower physics departments, educators, and industry leaders to create or expand programs that enhance access, deepen knowledge, and increase opportunities in physics-based climate science education and career pathways. The fund encourages collaborative partnerships among APS members, units, committees, and staff to develop new approaches to advancing the interests of the physics community, with a particular emphasis on the role of physics in addressing climate science and global challenges.
