The APTA Academy of Education Research Grants support investigations into questions important to advancing education in physical therapy. The Academy’s Research Committee administers the review process as part of its work to promote scholarly activity and evidence-based educational strategies. Eligible research spans DPT, PTA, entry-level, and post-professional education, as well as the education of patients and clients.
The program offers small grants for early-career researchers and emerging investigators new to education research, and large grants for experienced researchers and research teams. Small or pilot projects should contribute to a broader research agenda. Both categories emphasize feasible projects that can be completed within the grant period and make scientific contributions to physical therapy education.
