Description
The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) administers these grants to help protect surface water quality. Funding supports the control and prevention of state-listed exotic aquatic plants, as well as research that can inform their management. The program connects work by local lake associations and municipalities on New Hampshire waters with research by institutions of higher learning.
Research may address exotic aquatic plant management, control, biology, ecology or prevention. Together, the grant areas support efforts to address existing plants, prevent their spread and improve understanding of how to manage them.
