The Aramco Internal Audit Dissertation Scholarship supports doctoral candidates conducting research focused on internal auditing. Administered by the Internal Audit Foundation and sponsored by Aramco, the ongoing program was formerly known as the Michael J. Barrett Doctoral Dissertation Grant. It aims to encourage studies that contribute to internal audit academia and practice.
All timely and relevant topics that advance internal auditing receive equal consideration. Research priorities include the potential to advance the profession’s knowledge, practices, and insights, together with originality and sound methodology. The Committee of Research and Education Advisors, comprising academics and internal audit practitioners, screens applications and selects recipients. Recipients also help share their findings through interviews and, when requested, a brief article for the Foundation.
