Description
This program funds projects that foster self-sustaining economic growth and enhance quality of life in eligible Appalachian counties in Alabama. Grants are available for a wide range of initiatives, including business and workforce development, infrastructure (such as broadband and transportation), and leveraging natural and cultural assets. The program aims to build organizational and leadership capacity to strengthen community and economic development throughout the region. The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) administers the program in partnership with the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC).
