Supports research, study, and scholarly exchange related to the archaeology of Portugal, including Azores and Madeira, and for Portuguese scholars conducting archaeological research in the US.

--- ## Description This fellowship supports a wide range of activities related to the archaeology of Portugal, including the Azores and Madeira. Eligible projects include excavations, research projects, colloquia, symposia, publications, and travel for research or for presenting papers at academic meetings. The award also enables Portuguese archaeologists and graduate students to conduct archaeological research or study in the United States, regardless of whether their research focuses on Portugal. The program aims to foster deeper understanding and scholarly collaboration in Portuguese archaeology and to facilitate academic exchange between Portugal and the US.
