Description
This program is designed to help University of Nebraska–Lincoln Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR) faculty with ARD appointments whose recent applications for extramural research funding received strong reviews but were not funded. There are two main funding categories:
- Bridge funding: Provides support to sustain research momentum between grants, especially to maintain project staff and research activities while reapplying for extramural funding.
- Revision funding: Assists faculty in revising and resubmitting promising proposals to federal agencies or foundations, addressing reviewer feedback and collecting additional data as needed.
The program is not intended for seed funding for new research directions, but rather to maintain continuity and increase the likelihood of future external funding.
