Description
ARDOT’s Transportation-Related Research and Workforce Development Grant Program funds projects that investigate transportation systems or develop skills for transportation personnel. Authorized by Arkansas Acts 705 of 2017 and 884 of 2021, it is administered through ARDOT’s Local Programs Division.
Research may examine materials, processes, methods, and logistics to advance resilient, sustainable, cost-effective transportation and further education and economic development. The program covers all forms of transportation, including rail, public transportation, aviation, and waterborne transportation. Workforce development projects may involve industry training, apprenticeships, or educational programs. A project may address research or workforce development; it does not have to address both.
