Bristol-Myers Squibb’s Areas of Interest (AOI) and competitive research grants support innovative scientific and clinical research. The program identifies research priorities for independent investigators working with BMS products and early pipeline assets. For investigator-sponsored research in oncology, hematology, cardiovascular, and immunology & fibrosis, BMS has moved from rolling submissions to a request-for-proposal process intended to address unmet medical needs more efficiently.
Areas of Interest are posted alongside RFP submission periods, and previews may be available for reference. BMS also identifies pathways for independent research involving Nivolumab in Japan, Taiwan, or Korea, research using Apixaban, non-clinical research using a BMS product, and research involving early pipeline assets. These pathways include exceptions to the change in submission process.
