Arête Frontier Grants support bold, innovative ideas that advance the Arête Glacier Initiative’s mission of understanding and mitigating the risks of catastrophic sea-level rise driven by ice-sheet instability. The initiative welcomes proposals across a broad range of disciplines, approaches, and methods, without predetermined topic areas or preferred methodologies.
Applicants are encouraged to think creatively and independently about how their work connects to that mission. Arête’s funding principles prioritize meaningful outcomes, scientific rigor, innovation, and the potential to share or extend results beyond an individual project.
