Description
The Arizona Governor's Office of Youth, Faith and Family administers this grant to support primary prevention of child abuse and neglect and services for children and families affected by abuse. It funds programs that strengthen families before abuse or neglect occurs, as well as the work of Child and Family Advocacy Centers with victims and their families across Arizona.
Funding comes in part from sales of Arizona's child abuse prevention specialty license plates, supplemented by matching funds. The plates have been available since 1999, and the Governor's Office began administering the grant in 2019.
