Description
The Arizona Department of Education (ADE) administers this federally funded, competitive 21st Century Community Learning Centers program under Title IV, Part B of the Every Student Succeeds Act. Centers provide academic enrichment and other activities outside school hours to help students meet Arizona’s academic standards. Activities must address participating students’ needs and reinforce what they learn during the school day.
Programs also offer youth development opportunities and meaningful engagement for families, including literacy and related educational development. Each award is tied to one qualifying Arizona school; services may take place at that school or another accessible location.
