Description
The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Conservation Incentive Program (CIP) partners with landowners to improve wildlife habitat on private land. The commission encourages work that makes property more valuable to fish and wildlife and helps conserve Arkansas’s natural resources.
The published 2026 practice focused on feral hog trapping as part of an effort to assess, control and monitor feral swine. It aimed to reduce damage to native wildlife, soils, natural areas, water bodies, wetlands, vegetation, pasture and rangeland. Landowners can submit an interest form for future habitat practices under the 2027 program.
