Description
Funded by the Department of Homeland Security and FEMA, the Arkansas Homeland Security Grant Program strengthens terrorism preparedness and response. The Arkansas Division of Emergency Management (ADEM) is the State Administrative Agency, and its Homeland Security Branch administers the program.
The program maintains and enhances specialized teams in Arkansas’s Central, Northwest, Northeast, West, and South regions: FBI-accredited bomb squads, SWAT and terrorism response teams, Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 1, and weapons of mass destruction response teams. It also supports the Arkansas State Fusion Center, active shooter preparedness, the See Something, Say Something campaign, the Metropolitan Medical Response System, casualty care and Stop the Bleed training, cybersecurity, and community preparedness.
