Description
The Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC) runs the Arkansas Site Development Program to improve the readiness and competitiveness of industrial sites for job-creating projects. Its goal is to increase Arkansas’s inventory of sites that can meet prospective companies’ development schedules. Grants are intended to leverage, rather than replace, other funding.
Eligible work includes extending or improving public infrastructure; acquiring necessary rights of way or easements; soil borings and analysis; and site due diligence studies. Construction activities may include drainage improvements, dirt work, grading, mitigation, and rehabilitation. AEDC may consider other site-related activities it deems necessary to improve competitiveness.
