Key Information: Applicants must be ARO or spARO members.
The ARO Mini-Grant Program, sponsored by the Association for Research in Otolaryngology’s Communication Committee, supports members in organizing in-person events and developing sustainable partnerships with local community organizations. Its goal is to advance public science outreach and education on the physiology of hearing and balance, related pathologies, and therapeutic approaches, while introducing participants and organizers to ARO’s mission and activities.
Projects may include a one-day science fair with a local science museum, an arts/science collaborative event, or an educational series delivered by ARO scientists at a local school. The program emphasizes strong partnerships, feasible activities, meaningful impact, and the potential for sustained engagement. Projects connected to an existing program must explain how the mini-grant will enhance that program’s value.
