The Association for Research in Otolaryngology (ARO) Travel Awards support trainees attending the annual MidWinter Meeting and becoming active members of the ARO community. The program funds travel rather than research projects, supporting training and research pertinent to ARO’s interests in hearing, balance, auditory neuroscience, and otolaryngology. Categories cover audiology trainees, otolaryngology residents and medical students, undergraduate and graduate students, post-baccalaureate trainees, and postdoctoral fellows.
Companies and institutions donate the travel award funds. ARO encourages applications from individuals with disabilities and groups historically underrepresented in biomedical sciences. The program also includes the Henderson family-supported Don Henderson Travel Award, recognizing the highest-scoring applicants in four award categories.
