Description
The American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) offers this annual fellowship, funded by The Roentgen Fund, to help radiologists develop skills in medical publishing. Fellows work with the editors in chief of the American Journal of Roentgenology (AJR) and R3, alongside publications and marketing staff. The curriculum covers medical writing, manuscript preparation and editing, peer review, the ethics of scientific journalism, and journal publication through apprenticeship and practical editorial experience.
The fellowship aims to encourage academic careers and prepare manuscript reviewers, future editors, and teachers of medical journalism. Fellows present the AJR Year in Review course at the ARRS Annual Meeting with the Rogers Fellow and attend the annual Editor’s Forum.
