The ARRS Melvin M. Figley Fellowship in Radiology Journalism offers radiologists practicing in the United States and Canada an intensive, hands-on experience in medical publishing. Fellows are mentored by the Editors in Chief of the American Journal of Roentgenology (AJR) and R3, and work alongside publications and marketing staff to learn the fundamentals of medical writing, peer review, manuscript editing, and the ethics of scientific journalism. The fellowship aims to encourage promising radiologists to pursue academic careers, strengthen their credentials, and foster a commitment to high-quality radiology journalism. Named after Melvin M. Figley, MD, a former AJR Editor in Chief, the program seeks to cultivate future leaders and educators in radiology publishing.
