Description
The ARRS Research Scholarship supports early-career faculty who have not yet been recognized as independent investigators. Funded through the American Roentgen Ray Society’s Roentgen Fund and overseen by its Board of Trustees, the two-year program combines research support with leadership-building and career development. It aims to advance scholars as investigators, prepare them for leadership, and support work that may lead to further funding.
Projects may address hypothesis-driven basic science, clinical trials and operational studies, imaging technology assessment, drug or device development, image-guided therapies, or radiotheranostics. Other examples include artificial intelligence, environmental sustainability, comparative effectiveness, imaging informatics, and clinical imaging efficiency and workflow. Other imaging science projects may also qualify. Selection emphasizes project merit, potential to change radiology practice, and an environment supporting well-rounded professional development.
