The American Rhinologic Society (ARS) Friends in Research Award is a career development award offered through the Centralized Otolaryngology Research Efforts (CORE) grants program and listed by the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. It links proposed research with the investigator’s background, career goals, and professional development. Applications address the significance, innovation, and approach of the research alongside planned training activities and responsible conduct of research.
ARS supports clinical and basic research that advances understanding and treatment of rhinologic disease. Through CORE’s centralized application and review process, ARS and collaborating societies seek to support meritorious otolaryngology research, help investigators prepare competitive grant applications, and develop surgeon-scientists as peer reviewers.
