Art Project Grant supports organizations delivering arts experiences, learning, and professional development to expand Iowans’ access to the arts, with a special round serving people with disabilities.

Description
The Art Project Grant is administered by the Iowa Arts Council within the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA). It supports arts experiences, arts learning, and arts professional development that demonstrate artistic excellence and public value to Iowans. Projects may include community events, performances, exhibitions, festivals, conferences, and workshops. Funding comes from an Iowa Legislature appropriation and a National Endowment for the Arts grant.
The FY 2027 Creative Abundance Special Round specifically supports projects engaging Creative Abundance Consulting and Iowa artists to bring arts programming to Iowa populations with disabilities. Priority goes to first-time and infrequent applicants, high-quality arts production or experiences, and projects advancing the Iowa Arts Council’s strategic goals. The program also publishes general guidelines and Arts and Health Special Round resources.
