Description
The Artist Engagement Fund is a National Performance Network (NPN) program supporting artistic activity in its National Partner communities. It funds artist fees for newly commissioned and touring works, with the goals of advancing racial and cultural justice, increasing artist mobility, modeling equitable artist fees, and centering community engagement.
The program places meaningful relationships between communities, artists, and presenters at the heart of its priorities. Its focus is on projects that address racial or cultural justice, prioritize meaningful engagement, and result in a live public exchange. The fund is supported by the Doris Duke Foundation and the Mellon Foundation.
