Description
The New Hampshire State Council on the Arts administers Artist Entrepreneurial Grants to support career-building opportunities for individual professional artists, makers, and creatives. The program recognizes the creative workforce’s importance to New Hampshire’s economy and supports activities that strengthen artists’ careers and small businesses. Priorities include developing business skills, improving the level and quality of artistic practice, and bringing work to wider markets.
Eligible opportunities include professional development trainings, workshops, conferences, and non-degree classes; invitations to present work to significant new audiences; and development of promotional marketing and sales materials. These materials may include websites, e-commerce sites, social media, digital portfolios, and printed materials, but must not be for sale. Opportunities may include a public performance or exhibition, though a public component is not required.
