Description
This program provides direct support to practicing individual artists or collaborating artists who reside in North Dakota. The goal is to foster the creation of new artwork and professional growth through year-long projects or series in artistic disciplines that rotate annually. For FY27 (projects starting July 2026), only Dance and Theater (including traditional and contemporary forms) are eligible. Each funded project must include at least one community component—such as a public performance, exhibition, reading, open workshop, or demonstration—to engage North Dakota audiences and increase the visibility of the artist’s work.
