The Ohio Arts Council’s Artist Opportunities program supports individual artists across disciplines and career stages. It funds opportunities that can significantly advance an artist’s practice or projects that contribute to the vitality of their community. Supported work includes exhibitions, performances, publications, and screenings that introduce art to new audiences, as well as domestic conferences, residencies, workshops, fellowships, master classes, and apprenticeships.
Artists may also seek support for career-building activities such as marketing materials and websites, or for related materials, services, equipment, and facility or equipment rentals. The program looks for artistic potential, commitment to an art form, community engagement, and artistic, educational, or cultural value.
