    Description

Houston Center for Contemporary Craft (HCCC) offers a juried residency for emerging, mid-career, and established craft artists to develop their work while engaging visitors with craft processes and techniques. The program provides time, studio space, and professional development, alongside opportunities for teaching, collaboration, artist talks, and participation in the annual In Residence exhibition. Residents connect with Houston’s community, curators, gallery owners, visiting art professionals, museums, and collectors.

The Interdisciplinary Craft + Photography (ICP) residency, offered jointly with Houston Center for Photography (HCP), supports experimental, multidisciplinary work at the intersection of contemporary craft and photography. ICP residents receive the regular residency benefits plus printing credits and digital lab access through HCP. They participate in a joint artist talk and are included in HCCC’s annual In Residence exhibition.
