Description
The Artist Resource Trust (A.R.T.) Fund for Organizations, administered by Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, supports nonprofit organizations purchasing, exhibiting, commissioning or engaging the work of mid-career visual artists. Established in 1996, the fund supports artists who have demonstrated substantial commitment, development and quality in their creative practice. It serves organizations doing business in New England, Columbia County and Northeast Dutchess County, New York, working with artists who meet the fund’s geographic criteria.
Artistic quality is the primary consideration in selecting recipients, assessed through images of the proposed artist’s work. Reviewers also consider the quality and clarity of the organization’s curatorial vision and direction, and the potential impact of the grant on the institution, artist and community.
