    Description

United Arts Wake County administers Artist Support Grants with funding from United Arts, the North Carolina Arts Council, and Raleigh Arts. The program supports emerging and established artists across visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, and interdisciplinary arts. Individual artists and small, unincorporated groups of collaborating artists may seek support for developing their artistic practice and career.

Funding can help artists complete or present new work, purchase supplies or equipment, rent studio space, promote their work, undertake training, or travel for professional development and research. Applicants do not need a single specific production project: requests for resources that help grow their artistic careers are also welcome. The program emphasizes artistic merit, achievable plans, and meaningful contributions to the applicant’s career development.
