Description
The Artist’s Resource Trust (A.R.T.) Fund for Individuals, administered by Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, provides unrestricted fellowships to mid-career visual artists who demonstrate substantial commitment, development, and quality in their work. Established in 1996, the fund supports painters, sculptors, printmakers, photographers, and artists working in mixed media in New England and eligible areas of New York.
Artistic excellence is the primary selection priority, alongside financial need. Fellowships can support any expense that enhances an artist’s ability to create, including materials, equipment, rent, travel, and residencies. The fund is committed to diversity, inclusion, and equitable grant opportunities. Annual contributions have supported awards since its founding, and A.R.T. is building an endowment to sustain its support for artists in perpetuity.
