This program supports artists, writers, and scholars whose creative projects illuminate and promote understanding of Georgia’s coastal, ocean, and marine environments. Funded by the Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant, the initiative aims to strengthen the intersection of artistic expression and scientific insight, with the goal of increasing public awareness, documenting local history and heritage, and offering new perspectives on Georgia’s unique coastal resources. Supported projects may include, but are not limited to, painting, sculpture, photography, poetry, music, film, digital media, and interdisciplinary works.
