Description
The Arts ADA Accessibility Reimbursement (AAR) Grants program, administered by the Oregon Arts Commission through Business Oregon, offsets specific access-related expenses for Oregon arts nonprofits. It supports public access for all individuals who want to participate in those organizations’ arts activities, compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, and the identification of accessibility best practices throughout Oregon.
The program reimburses access services rather than providing general organizational support. In reviewing requests, the Arts Commission considers whether the accommodation is appropriate for the disability access need and the organization’s level of engagement with the disability community. Funding is limited, and eligible applications are authorized subject to available funds.
