Description
Arts and Humanities Touring Grants are a joint program of Michigan Humanities and the Michigan Arts and Culture Council. The grants help host organizations cover the fees and travel expenses of touring performers, artists, exhibitors, and humanities presenters. Supported programming spans the humanities and performing and visual arts, including presentations by individual artists, performance groups, authors, and historians.
The Touring Program combines grant support with a juried online directory of presenters. Organizations select programs for classrooms, libraries, and cultural events throughout Michigan. The directory provides program descriptions, fees, contact information, and short videos to help hosts identify suitable presentations. Funding supports the cost of bringing these programs to local audiences rather than the host organization’s general event expenses.
