The East Central Regional Arts Council (ECRAC) administers this Legacy grant using Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. It supports larger projects involving the creation, sponsorship, publication, performance, or exhibition of art, with arts-producing activities and community access as central goals. Supported work includes touring performances, visual art exhibitions, local theatre, public art, professional artist or culture-bearer residencies, workshops, classes, publications, films, and presentations.
The program serves Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, and Pine counties and the sovereign Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe lands. Funding supports arts and arts access, lifelong arts education, and diverse cultural arts traditions. Priorities include presenting historically underrepresented communities’ art and improving access for youth and historically underserved audiences.
