Description
Akron Community Foundation’s Arts & Culture Grants support a vibrant, accessible cultural landscape in Summit County. The program funds performing and visual arts, museums, historical societies, multimedia storytelling, live music, and dance. Supported activities include exhibitions, neighborhood festivals, free park performances, student residencies and camps, and preservation of historic cultural venues.
Arts & Culture is one of four quarterly Community Fund grantmaking areas. The foundation combines local resources and community knowledge to support nonprofits addressing community needs and creating lasting change. Program and project requests are generally preferred, but operating and other requests are welcome. The application also asks organizations to describe their work on inclusion, belonging, diversity, and equity, and how the Summit County Cultural Plan informs their programming and operations.
