The Arts Curricular Innovation Grants (ACIG) – Arts Enhancement Program (AEP) provides funding to South Carolina Title I schools to develop and implement innovative arts initiatives that enhance the quality of arts education and improve student achievement. Grants support the development and expansion of school arts programs across dance, music, theatre, and visual arts, with flexibility to focus on one or more disciplines. Funded projects must align with the South Carolina College- and Career-Ready Visual and Performing Arts Proficiency Standards (2026), and all activities must occur during the regular school day. The program is administered by the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) and is part of the state’s Education Improvement Act.
