Description
The Arts Educator Fellowship Grant, administered by the Alaska State Council on the Arts, is designed to support the growth and development of arts educators throughout Alaska. This fellowship enables certified, permanently assigned K-12 teachers—full or part-time—whose responsibilities include teaching visual, performing, or media arts, to pursue immersive artistic experiences. The program encourages educators to reconnect with their own creative practices, learn from professional artists, and bring new skills and inspiration back to their classrooms and communities. Eligible activities include attending workshops, residencies, advanced courses, festivals, or engaging in mentorships with professional artists. After completing the fellowship, recipients may apply for additional funding to implement classroom or community projects related to their fellowship experience.
