Description
The Virginia Commission for the Arts (VCA) offers Arts in Practice Grants to expand access to high-quality, artist-led residencies throughout Virginia. Eligible organizations partner with artists on the VCA Teaching Artist Roster to offer in-person arts learning for participants of all ages or professional development for arts educators.
Activities can vary in format and duration and may include workshops or community arts projects. They must involve active participation, rather than performances alone, and include an assessment of how effectively the residency meets its goals. The program is not intended to support concerts, assemblies, or field trips.
