Description
The Arts Innovator Award, administered by Artist Trust and funded by the Dale and Leslie Chihuly Foundation, recognizes and supports Washington State artists who demonstrate significant innovation in their art practice. This annual, unrestricted award is intended for artists at pivotal points in their careers who are originating new work, experimenting with new ideas, taking creative risks, and advancing the boundaries of their disciplines. Two awards of $25,000 each are given every year. The selection process prioritizes artistic excellence, innovation, and dedication to exploration, with a strong emphasis on racial and geographic equity.
