Arts Midwest’s Peter Capell Award for Midwestern Creativity & Entrepreneurship celebrates entrepreneurial thinking and business acumen in the creative sector. Over nine years, the program will recognize an individual in each of Arts Midwest’s nine member states. The 2026 award focuses on Ohio leaders whose work in creative or cultural programming expands access to arts and creativity in their communities.
The award recognizes accomplishments and leadership rather than funding a prescribed project. Priorities include innovative solutions to problems, new opportunities that drive organizational success, and cross-sector partnerships that advance creativity and support communities. Candidates should demonstrate strong community impact, notable creative accomplishments, and a commitment to increasing participation in the arts.
