Description
Vermont Arts Council Arts Project Grants support community-based projects that provide equal and abundant access to the arts. Fundable work includes performances, exhibits, screenings, readings, festivals, public art, and participatory activities. Creative placemaking projects may bring artists and community members together to re-envision public spaces, strengthen community identity, meet local goals, or help a community reflect on or recover from a recent disaster.
The Council is especially interested in projects that remove barriers to participation, engage new or under-resourced audiences and artists, build meaningful partnerships between arts and non-arts organizations, or serve communities not recently funded by the Council. The program is supported by the State of Vermont and the National Endowment for the Arts, with additional support from the Vermont Community Foundation’s Arts Endowment Fund.
