Description
The Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA) runs Arts Respond Performance Support to help bring professional artists to Texas communities. Schools, libraries, and nonprofit organizations can seek support for a performance or workshop by an artist on TCA’s Texas Touring Roster. The program’s stated aim is to advance Texas’s creative economy through investment in arts organizations.
This quarterly, noncompetitive program funds a percentage of contracted artist fees rather than the creation of new work. Eligible contracted costs may also include hotel, travel, and per diem expenses when the presenting organization is responsible for paying them under the artist agreement.
